20th year anniversary remake of the 2003 film "The Last Kennedy", formally streamed on Netflix. 

The Unfinished Work of Heroes is a gripping tale about the assassination of a fictional African American presidential candidate set in the early 2000s. More than just a "director’s cut" this version contains over an hour of restored footage and a completely revised plot. 

Hence, the new name to reflect the original pre - 9/11 storyline. 

September 11, 2001, happened in the middle of the original production which drastically affected the direction of the film due the filmmakers feeling the need to introduce a new theme. Some of the original 2000-2001 footage had been put aside and scenes from a new post- 9/11 story were filmed in 2003. 

This version removes some of the post - 9/11 2003 footage and  all of that  new storyline. Then restores the original plot as close as possible by utilizing original 2000-2001 production footage never released before, along with some footage shot in 2003 which had been filmed to complete the underlying assassination story.

The result is a hybrid documentary/drama which was the original format intended.

The new version of the film is in the process of being submitted to film festivals.
